Customer declaration:

A heat pump for heating and hot water has been in operation in our two-family house since 2001. Since 2009 we have also been generating our own electricity from a photovoltaic system with 10 kWp. Of the approximately 10,000 kWh of electricity that the system generates annually, around two-thirds were fed into the public power grid until AC ELWA-E was purchased, which means that we were able to use a maximum of one third of it ourselves in the house. Since the commissioning of AC ELWA-E, this value has decreased to less than a quarter! So we use about 75% of the photovoltaic electricity ourselves, for heating purposes and for household consumers. We use the excess electricity to preheat the 1,000 litre buffer tank. To maximize self-consumption, AC ELWA-E was installed at the bottom, this means at the coldest point.

The linear power modulation of my-PV has the advantage over the heat pump that even the smallest excess yield can be compensated for quickly and very precisely. In line with the increase in self-consumption of photovoltaic electricity, we were able to significantly reduce the electricity consumption from the grid.

Since January 2021, we have also kept a very close eye on device performance. In addition, system access is now also possible for us from outside the home network! This has been a wish of mine for a very long time. We are all the happier that this is possible with an innovative product from the surrounding region.
