Merry Christmas and a happy New Year 2025
Eventful months lie behind us – during Christmas, we are taking a short break. Our technical support will be available during the holidays.
Recently rising gas prices and uncertainty in the electricity market once again highlight the importance of autonomy and independence – not only in terms of electricity supply but also with regard to heat (hot water and heating). This brings our topic to the forefront once again, namely, photovoltaic heat.
What characterized our year 2024
More than 100 webinars were held by our technical and sales teams, tens of thousands of new users joined the my-PV Cloud, and hundreds of thousands of new lines of software code were written – impressive numbers, at least for us in the solar-electric world. We have also worked through our backlog of orders and are well-positioned for the coming months, as our products are available from stock.
Looking beyond our company, unclear developments, both ecological and economic, have affected our core markets. It remains to be seen how photovoltaics can grow in (potentially changing) political landscapes. Some markets are quickly opening up to photovoltaic heat, while others are closing again faster than expected due to various – including political – decisions.
We look to the future with optimism because we are motivated by the belief that everyone should have access to clean energy –with our motto "Empowering the Solar Future." In our view – and as proven by many reference projects with real data – heat from photovoltaic electricity is not only ecologically sensible but also economically viable. This is demonstrated by our solar-electric company building, which has an annual operating cost of just €405 (for electricity, hot water, heating, and electric mobility).
What to expect in 2025
SOL•THOR, our DC power manager, is meeting with strong demand, as many orders have already been received – thanks to the customers who have already placed their trust in us. With the SOL•THOR, we bridge the gap between small solar systems (with a maximum feed-in capacity of 800 watts) and the smallest PV systems with an economically viable inverter (from around 5 kW). Autonomous heat generation, already very efficient with just a few PV modules (more on this in January), is becoming increasingly important and follows a growing trend towards autonomy, independence from rising energy prices, and the increasing uncertainties in the geopolitical environment. In many markets, there is also a noticeable trend to reduce feed-in during midday – we are ready with our solutions for self-consumption.
Holiday opening hours
Our dedicated employees have achieved extraordinary results this year to fulfill our customers' orders. Even on business days around the Christmas season, our support team will be available during regular hours.
At this point, we would like to wish you and your families a Merry Christmas, relaxing holidays, and a healthy and successful year 2025!
