SOFAR: New compatible manufacturer for my-PV
Our grid-connected products are now compatible with inverters from SOFAR, one of the largest inverter manufacturers in China.
SOFAR, officially established in 2013, has grown to become one of the top five inverter manufacturers in China. Their product range covers inverters for residential and commercial applications from 1 to 350 kW and hybrid inverters from 3 to 20 kW.
For photovoltaic systems in Europe, SOFAR operates from its European headquarters in Reutlingen, Germany. In addition to inverters, the company also offers battery storage solutions.
Recently, SOFAR inverters became compatible with my-PV's grid-connected products for heat generation from photovoltaic electricity. Communication with SOFAR inverters is established via Modbus RTU (RS485).
New compatibility enabled by a firmware update:
AC•THOR and AC•THOR 9s: Compatibility is available from firmware version a0021700.
AC ELWA 2: Compatibility is available from firmware version e0001100.
Detailed instructions for connecting via RS485 can be found in the implementation guide for SOFAR inverters, available online (in German).
